This Shipping Policy explains how firearms, ammunition, accessories, and other products are shipped from www.inmansarmory.com and what customers can expect during the process. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Firearm Shipments and FFL Requirements
All firearm purchases made through our website must be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. Firearms cannot be shipped directly to your home or business unless you are a licensed FFL holder.
- Providing FFL Information: At checkout, you must provide the contact information of the FFL dealer who will handle your transfer. If no FFL is provided, your order cannot be processed.
- Background Check: Your receiving FFL dealer will perform the legally required background check before transferring the firearm to you.
- Transfer Fees: Customers are responsible for paying any FFL transfer fees charged by the receiving dealer. These fees are separate from your purchase price.
- Pickup Requirement: You must appear in person at the FFL dealer’s location to complete the transfer and background check.
2. NFA-Regulated Items
We proudly offer National Firearms Act (NFA) items such as suppressors and short-barreled rifles. These items are subject to additional regulations.
- ATF Approval: NFA items require ATF paperwork and approval before they can be transferred.
- Timeframes: The approval process may take several months, depending on ATF processing times.
- No Cancellations: Once ATF paperwork has been filed, orders for NFA items cannot be canceled or refunded.
- Shipment: After approval, NFA items are shipped to the customer’s designated FFL/SOT dealer for transfer.
3. Ammunition and Accessory Shipments
Unlike firearms, many accessories and ammunition products can be shipped directly to your home or business address where permitted by law.
- Adult Signature Required: Ammunition shipments typically require an adult signature upon delivery.
- Restricted Locations: Certain states and municipalities restrict the sale and delivery of ammunition. Orders to prohibited locations will be canceled and refunded.
- Hazmat Considerations: Some items may be classified as hazardous materials and require special handling by carriers.
4. State and Local Restrictions
It is the customer’s responsibility to know and follow the laws of their state and locality. Inman’s Armory will not ship products that are restricted in your area.
Examples of restrictions include, but are not limited to:
- High-capacity magazines
- Certain types of ammunition
- Firearms prohibited under state law
- NFA items without proper paperwork
If your order includes a restricted product, it will be canceled and refunded.
5. Processing and Shipping Times
- Processing: Orders are generally processed within 2–5 business days after payment is confirmed and FFL details are received (for firearms).
- Carrier Services: We ship via trusted carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS, depending on the product.
- Tracking Information: Customers will receive an email confirmation with tracking details once an order has shipped.
- Delays: Inman’s Armory is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather events, or government restrictions.
6. Shipping Costs
- Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on order weight, size, and destination.
- Customers are responsible for shipping charges unless otherwise stated during promotions or in cases of shipping error by Inman’s Armory.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our mistake.
7. Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your order arrives damaged, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery. Retain all original packaging and provide photos so we may file a claim with the carrier. Lost shipments will be investigated with the carrier, and replacement or refund options will be determined once the claim is resolved.
8. Order Cancellations and Address Changes
- Orders for firearms and ammunition may be canceled before shipment only.
- Once a firearm has shipped to an FFL or ATF paperwork has been filed for NFA items, the order cannot be canceled.
- Address changes requested after shipment may incur additional carrier fees, which are the customer’s responsibility.
9. Customer Responsibility
By placing an order, you agree that:
- You are legally allowed to purchase and possess the items in your order.
- You will comply with all federal, state, and local firearm laws.
- You understand that Inman’s Armory is not liable for refused transfers or denied background checks. In such cases, a restocking fee may apply.
